Copper & Kings American Brandy Co.
Hip urban distillery Copper & Kings made waves in Louisville when they began making brandy in Bourbon Country. Known for their innovative distilling techniques and some off-the-wall ideas (like playing rock music to their barrels for sonic aging), this playful venue is a fantastic departure from the traditional distillery tour.
The Copper & Kings Distillery Tour
Where many Kentucky distilleries tout history and tradition, Copper & Kings Distillery boasts a unique and modern way of distilling. The innovative operation in Louisville’s Butchertown neighborhood includes repurposed shipping containers, rooftop bar Alexander, a butterfly garden, art gallery, stunning skyline views and a sub-level maturation cellar. Three copper pot stills made by nearby Vendome bear the names of Bob Dylan’s favorite women, and a strong music theme flows through every part of the spirits-making process.
Mint Julep partners with Copper & Kings Distillery to offer a private guided tour on customized itineraries that may include a cocktail mixology experience.
The Spirits Tastings
Taste a range of craft spirits on the sky deck or in the art gallery after your tour of the four-story operation choosing from house-made brandy, gin and absinthe.
